WHAT ARE DIABETES SYMPTOMS?
At first, the symptoms of diabetes seem harmless as it just begins with persistent thirst and fatigue. When someone ends up experiencing these symptoms, it is generally nothing to worry about. However, if one experiences these diabetes symptoms for a prolonged period, then it is suggested that he/she must take a screen test for diabetes after consulting the doctor.
The common diabetes symptoms are:
Frequent quench for water-
The body is not hydrated no matter how many glasses of water you take. The blood sugar levels in the body go up and the body tries hard to take fluids from your tissues and muscles to dilute the sugar in the bloodstream. This continuous process in the body prompts you to drink water frequently.
Intake of excessive water leads to frequent urination. This again leads to having more water that ends up being a problem. The body might also eliminate excess sugar through urination.
Your body might feel hungry even after you have had enough to eat. This happens because the tissues in your body are not getting enough energy from the food that you are consuming. The sugar that is taken from the food is not able to enter the tissues in your body.
Unexplained weight loss-
Your body in spite of having enough food will continuously lose weight. This is normally seen with Type 1 diabetes. As the body is not getting enough energy, your body will break down your fat and proteins stored and make you lose more weight.
Sugar is one of the body’s main components of energy. The body is unable to convert sugar to energy during diabetes, this can lead to fatigue. This ends up making the body feel tired and exhausted.
If you are suffering from Type 2 diabetes then your body will have a hard time fighting the infection. This is because blood sugar levels are too high and bacteria can creep in.
